Ilmovas began inside the path it serves: from operating peer-reviewed scholarly journals on the recognised international platforms, and from seeing what that path lacks in its Arabic setting.
What we work on
Arabic scholarly publishing does not lack content; it lacks the infrastructure that makes that content intelligible: a structure machines can read, verification that establishes originality, and indexing that makes what was published retrievable. We build that layer, and we work with institutions along their journals’ path from building them to indexing them.
How we work
Built in-house
Our tools are developed in-house, not as a wrapper on a foreign product. Development follows the client’s need, and what that need requires is built into them.
Starting with one
We begin with one journal whose result is presented to its editorial board, and we do not expand before the effect is seen. Discipline at the start serves both parties better than a promise of scope.
The known limit
Our tools present the evidence; they do not issue the judgment. The editorial decision is a responsibility that is not delegated to a system, and we do not build what claims to carry it.
Data where it is produced
Our tools are built to be deployed inside the institution or within its national hosting domain. Manuscripts remain in their owner’s custody, and what is built on them remains among their assets.
